The long running Law & Order franchise brings together the best of British acting talent for Law & Order: UK. Bradley Walsh (Coronation Street) stars as DS Ronnie Brooks, a real East End, copper’s copper, friend and partner to the charming DS Matt Devlin, Jamie Bamber (Battlestar Galactica) whose approach to policing is part seduction part force. Both report to DI Natalie Chandler (Broken Lines) a working mum who would back them to the end. While the CPS team comprises Ben Daniels (The Passion) as dedicated Senior Crown Prosecutor James Steel, a man on a mission for justice; Freema Agyeman (Dr Who, Torchwood) as hard working, strong-willed young prosecutor Alesha Phillips; and Bill Paterson (Criminal Justice) as their respected boss CPS director George Castle, a man trying to balance his ideals with the bigger picture

Ben Daniels plays James Steel, senior crown prosecutor. Steel’s devotion to his work is unprecedented and pursuing the truth in every case leaves little personal time. The Crown Prosecution Service wasn’t always his calling though, the birth of his son and a tough rapist case caused him to change his role from defense counsel.

Freema Agyeman (Doctor Who) plays crown prosecutor Alesha Phillips, partner to James Steel. Phillips has had to overcome continuous obstacles to get to where she is today. It hasn’t been easy but Phillips is intelligent and confident and can’t help but take the side of the underdog.

Bill Paterson plays London Crown Proseuctor Service Director George Castle. As boss to James Steel and Alesha Phillips, Paterson is unrelentless when it comes to the justice system. He can be a tough boss but has the utmost respect for his younger colleagues.
