Sean Walker
Jason Ritter
Quintessential boy next-door and self-proclaimed geek. Graduate of MIT. in Computer Science and a (mostly) reformed hacker, Sean spent his college days in front of a computer, and now freelances as a video game programmer and &. Smart and confident, he wears his heart on his sleeve.
Sean grew up in a low-income household in the suburbs of Chicago. He showed a gift for computer programming from an early age. As his family could not afford a computer of its own, Sean would spend his spare time at his school's computer lab or at the library, often losing track of time and spending hours upon hours writing games and programs of all kinds.
This passion became his only refuge when at the age of 10, Sean's high school years were spent moving around, going wherever his father could find a job.
As soon as he graduated high school, Sean left home and headed out to MIT. Thanks to his wits, his amazing computer skills, three jobs, and a lot of financial aid, Sean started a bachelor's in computer engineering.
Sean was also an active member of his school's swim team. Although their relationship has gone through ups and downs, Sean is absolutely confident that Leila is the woman he will marry and spend the rest of his life with. Over the years, the Buchanans have become a surrogate family of sorts.
Finally ready to propose, & Sean headed out & having planned every minute detail of his proposal.
Except nothing went according to plan.

Sean was addicted to World of Warcraft until Leila made him give it up.
A big Stephen King lover, he has read "The Stand" seven times.

President Elias Martinez

Moral and idealistic. Hugely popular with the American people and around the world, President Martinez wants to be a new kind of President, working toward a new America. He's committed to honesty and runs the first truly bipartisan administration in recent history, with Vice President Raymond Jarvis at his side. Two parties, one purpose. Before becoming President, Born to Cuban refugees in Miami, Florida, President Martinez is very proud of his Afro-Cuban roots. He is a graduate of Yale University.
The now happily married Elias and Christina have a seven-year-old son named David.
President Martinez is immersed in the typical duties befitting the President of the United States, when he is handed a top secret file that will change the course of his presidency from that moment on.
A secret informant has recently led him to discover that 97 detainees offering asylum if they so choose.
INTERESTING FACTS:
Loving baseball as a kid, Elias was a huge fan of Tony Perez, the Hall of Fame third baseman (who happened to be Afro-Cuban) of the Cincinnati Reds who dominated Major League Baseball in the 60s and 70s. Despite growing up in Miami, Martinez remains a die-hard Reds fan.
Made the Yale baseball team as a walk-on his freshman year, but stepped down as a sophomore to focus all his energy on studying politics and world culture.
Elias is a much better cook than his wife.
A lover of music, he had a drum set installed in a sound proof room in the basement of the White House, which he plays to relieve stress.

Blake Sterling

Sterling is an astute, discerning, and well-connected insider in the intelligence community. Since then, he has spent most of his career rising through the ranks of the agency. He has served in a variety of roles in the Directorate of Intelligence, including a support post for the National Security Counsel, and eventually rose to become the Deputy Director of the CIA. Prior to his current position, Sterling served as the Director of Central Intelligence under the previous administration.
Sterling was nominated as the Director of National Intelligence by President Martinez, and approved by the Senate with an overwhelming majority. In spite of much criticism, President Elias Martinez decided to nominate Sterling for the newly expanded position because of his vast experience in the intelligence community.
Although Sterling and Martinez are often at odds, Sterling is dedicated to the security of the United States, and will do whatever it takes to keep Americans safe. Sterling isn't afraid to get a little dirty with political manipulation or covert force when the situation demands it. Sterling has received a considerable amount of political criticism for his support of the CIA's detention program and interrogation tactics. In the current state of the nation, Sterling has increasingly found himself bending the rules. However, he is always steadfast in his goal of fulfilling the greater good at all costs.
As an outlet for stress, Sterling maintains a strict daily routine that includes a jog around CIA headquarters before work at 4:30 every morning.
INTERESTING FACTS:
Sterling finds solace in classical music.
He has played the violin for most of his life, which he continues to enjoy in his spare time.
His Stradivarius Violin from the early 1700s is his most prized possession.

Sophia Maguire

Sophia is the charismatic leader and spokesperson of the mysterious detainees at the Mount Inostranka facility in Throughout that time, Sophia and her people have had to endure countless hours of interrogation, torture
Yet, Sophia has continued to remain calm and focused in the face of adversity, hoping that in time, her patience would pay off. Which it did, with the recent appointment of a president who empathizes with her people's condition, President Elias Martinez.
Sophia knew upon their first meeting that Martinez was a man who put truth and compassion ahead of politics.
After developing a year-long friendship based on trust and mutual respect, Sophia was granted her wish when President Martinez decided to shut down Inostranka, in a televised press conference from his vacation home in Coral Gables, Florida.

Leila Buchanan

Sean's girlfriend. Smart and athletic, she studied Biochemistry at MIT. She now works as a . Has a very close relationship with her family, parents Michael and Valerie, and younger sister Samantha, . Leila is a nature lover, and she and Sean often go rock climbing and hiking together. Leila has a very strong inner core, and is not afraid to meet challenges head on.
Growing up as a science geek, Leila spent all her time with books, and never learned how to swim, which made her feel very self-conscious later in life. This turned out to be a good thing however, as it caused her to meet Sean in college at MIT's swimming pool their senior year. She fell for Sean's nerdiness, and was impressed by his amazing hacking ability; he completely won her over when he maneuvered her name to the top of the online ticketing list for great seats at a Radiohead concert. Sean was a very attentive boyfriend during their time together in college.
Leila has always had a very strong relationship with her family. Her mother Val put her blossoming modeling career on hold to raise Leila, and later Samantha, her adopted daughter. Now that her two daughters are older, . While both parents tend to be overprotective, they've learned to somewhat let go, thanks in part to their trust in Sean since he entered Leila's life.
Leila's warm and welcoming family made it easy for Sean to adopt them as a surrogate family of sorts. The entire Buchanan family is incredibly fond of Sean, and treat him as one of their own.
Leila's daily routine was recently thrown into turmoil, warning a couple of weeks before Leila and Sean left for their cruise.
INTERESTING FACTS:
Leila is actually a much more capable hiker and rock climber than she lets on.
As a child, she probably spent more time with G.I. Joes than with dolls.
She's a huge Atlanta sports fan, like her dad.

Simon Lee
Ian Anthony Dale
Simon Lee is an elite CIA operative, working for a shadow division whose mission it is to handle all security issues related to the detainees - at the Mount Inostranka Detention Facility in Alaska. Simon has rapidly risen through the ranks, from trainee to his current post, where he has access to President Martinez and reports directly to the Director of National Intelligence Blake Sterling. Simon travels frequently between his office in Langley, the White House, and Inostranka, or goes wherever his missions take him.
he eventually settled on the CIA, and matriculated to the Science, Engineering and Technology Department.
He's also an avid long distance runner. He has completed several marathons with a personal best time of under 2:45.
Simon hails from Fort Yates, North Dakota, a small town outside of Bismarck. He attributes his imperviousness to winters at Inostranka to the cold, biting wind that rips down the Missouri River and through Fort Yates for six months of the year.
Simon had very specific reasons for pursuing a career at the CIA.

Michael Buchanan

Affable, with Marlboro Man good looks, Michael has always preferred the peace and quiet of nature rather than the clutter and drive of the city life. His every vacation has been spent in national parks, jungles and rainforests, and he's taken a number of wilderness survival classes in order to safely immerse himself in the thing he loves most, exploring nature.
Michael combined his love of the outdoors and his passion for wilderness photography to produce outstanding images of American wildlife, nature, scenic provincial parks and mountain areas that now adorn the walls of the dream home which took years to remodel.
Especially once she realized that underneath a tough exterior hid a caring and compassionate man. Michael and Val married a year later, and soon thereafter welcomed their first daughter Leila, Samantha.
When Leila began a serious relationship with Sean, Michael's overprotectiveness kicked in, though he quickly became fond of Sean. Sean's love for Leila was nearly palpable, and it was clearly evident in seeing them together that he made her incredibly happy. Michael and Valerie welcomed Sean into their home, and Michael

Raymond Jarvis

Raymond "Ray" Jarvis hails from Lafayette, Louisiana. The youngest of four boys, Raymond Jarvis claims he learned from a young age how to quickly and effectively argue his point.
An honor roll student throughout high school and member of the Varsity Debate Team, Jarvis went on to get his graduate degree in Public Policy at Georgetown University.
After graduation, Jarvis used his degree and silver tongue to influence local business and politics in his home state. He was elected to the Louisiana State House of Representatives and served two terms. Later he became a respected senator, followed by the prestigious post of Chairman of the Senate Agriculture Committee.
Mr. Jarvis is perhaps best known for his work on the farm bill that helped private Southern landowners.
His considerable political experience, and popularity in the South and within his party made him a logical selection to be President Martinez' bipartisan running mate.
In an unprecedented display of trust and partnership, Mr. Jarvis has full access to the President's schedule, and is a frequent adviser and interdisciplinary liaison. Together, President Martinez and Vice President Jarvis have demonstrated that their bipartisan ticket is not only working, but flourishing.
Vice President Jarvis is currently working on a project in conjunction with Director Sterling, details of which are classified at this time.

Christina Martinez

Born and raised in Arizona, Christina was an amazingly bright student. She attended Yale where she was at the top of her class. She turned her academic success into a promising and fruitful career as an attorney. She and her husband are major supporters of Paper Dreams, a charity organization that helps fund education programs for refugee children throughout the world.
Elias and Christina's mothers were friends back in Cuba before fleeing to seek refuge in the United States.
Hesitant at first, Christina eventually relented to her mother's request, and agreed to meet Elias. She has never looked back.
Determined to see her husband succeed, Christina put her successful career as an attorney on the back burner when Elias decided to run for President. She's always been her husband's biggest political supporter and they've been each other's sounding boards since the beginning of their careers. Their marriage is one of love and respect.
Christina is most proud of is her seven-year-old son David. There is absolutely nothing she wouldn't do for her child.

Vicky Roberts

Vicky Roberts is a Manhattan socialite. She's currently single and thrives on her spontaneous party girl lifestyle. Vicky is also the niece of the late Ralph Clement Quinn, Sr. and was 10 when he died in a car crash. She inherited approximately half of the Quinn fortune when she turned 18. With family money to spare, Vicky won't hesitate to invite appealing strangers to travel with her on a whim, all expenses paid.
She was accepted into the world-renowned Joffrey Ballet School in New York City, but had to withdraw due to a foot injury involving Fashion Week and eight-inch stilettos. She now has dreams of designing her own clothing line called Sassy. Her best friend is her Yorkie, also named Sassy, rescued from a local animal shelter.
Vicky is a regular at Club Jar, and inspired the drink called "The Stiletto."
